UV Accelerated Aging Tester
Application
Equipment Use: The UV Artificial Climate Accelerated Test Chamber is utilized to replicate the damage caused by UV light, rain, and dew. It achieves this by subjecting the test material to a controlled cycle of light and water at elevated temperatures. The chamber effectively mimics the effects of sunlight through the use of UV lamps, as well as dew and rain through condensation and water spray. In just a matter of days or weeks, this equipment can reproduce the damage that would typically take months or even years to occur outdoors. The damage includes fading, color change, loss of luster, chalking, cracking, wrinkling, blistering, embrittlement, strength reduction, oxidation, and more. The test results obtained can be used to select new materials, improve existing materials, or evaluate changes in material formulations.
The UV Artificial Climate Accelerated Test Chamber employs fluorescent UV lamps as the light source. By simulating UV radiation and condensation found in natural sunlight, it accelerates the weathering test of materials. This allows for the assessment of a material's resistance to weathering. The chamber can replicate various environmental conditions such as UV exposure, rain, high temperature, high humidity, condensation, darkness, and more. By reproducing these conditions and combining them into a single cycle, the chamber can automatically execute the desired number of cycles.
