Application

1. Test principle
The TABER abrasion tester works as follows: first, a standard cutter is used to cut the specimen, then a specific type of grinding wheel is selected and the specimen is subjected to a wear test under preset load conditions. During the test, the machine is operated at a specified number of revolutions. At the end of the test, the specimen is removed and the wear condition is observed, or the degree of wear is assessed by comparing the weight difference before and after the test.
